나비의 환생 : Butterfly Reincarnation

라우갤러리는 2월 1일(토)부터 2월 28(금)일까지 문형철 작가의 초대개인전 《나비의 환생》을 개최한다. 이번 전시에서는 작가의 작품 20여점이 선보일 예정이며, 수십마리의 나비가 화려하게 펼쳐지는 신비로운 광경을 만나게 될 것이다.

문형철 작가는 자연물과 인간의 관계를 고민하며, 생명의 구체적 형상을 평범한 주제 속에서 섬세하고 독창적으로 표현하고 있다. 그의 작품은 나비의 날개와 꽃의 조화 속에서 촉각과 시각의 경계를 허물며, 다양한 색채 감각이 함께 어우러지는 다성악을 이룬다. 생명의 구체적 형상으로 자연물과 인간을 다루고 있는데, 매우 섬세하고 독창적인 색채로 구현해낸다.

그의 색채 감각은 촉감의 상상과 눈의 조망을 견고하게 엮어낸다. 생명의 재현이라는 측면에서 촉각과 시각이 하나의 조형공간으로 수렴된다.

From February 1 to March 31, Row Gallery will host Moon Hyung-chul’s solo exhibition, “Butterfly Reincarnation.” This exhibition will feature around 20 of the artist’s works, and you will be treated to a mystical scene of dozens of butterflies unfolding in a splendid manner.

Moon Hyung-chul ponders the relationship between natural objects and humans, and delicately and creatively expresses the specific forms of life in ordinary subjects. His works break down the boundaries between touch and vision in the harmony of butterfly wings and flowers, and create polyphonic music in which various color senses come together. He deals with natural objects and humans as specific forms of life, and he implements them with very delicate and unique colors.

His sense of color solidly weaves together the imagination of touch and the view of the eyes. In terms of the reproduction of life, touch and vision converge into a single sculptural space.
