인간 군상의 다채로운 향연

라우갤러리는 2025년 4월 2(수)일부터 4월 30(수)일까지 신흥우 작가의 초대개인전《인간 군상의 다채로운 향연 》를 기획 전시한다.

이번 전시에서는 작가의 작품 12여 점이 선보일 예정이며, 그의 대표적인 특징인 강렬한 색채와 유쾌한 화면 구성, 그리고 역동적인 인물 표현이 돋보이는 신작들도 포함될 예정이다.

신흥우 작가는 현대 도시를 살아가는 다양한 군상의 모습을 특유의 입체적인 질감과 자유로운 선으로 풀어내며, 개성 넘치는 인물들을 통해 삶의 활기와 감정의 교차점을 탐색해왔다.그의 작품은 단순히 도시 속 사람들의 모습을 묘사하는 것에 그치지 않고, 각 인물의 움직임과 표정을 통해 그들이 지닌 다양한 감정과 서사를 담아내는 데 집중하고 있다.

Row Gallery will hold an exhibition of Shin Heung-woo’s solo exhibition, “With People,” from Wednesday, April 2 to Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

This exhibition will feature around 12 of the artist’s works, including new works that stand out for their signature strong colors, cheerful compositions, and dynamic character expressions.

Shin Heung-woo has explored the intersection of life’s vitality and emotions through his unique three-dimensional texture and free lines, while portraying various people living in modern cities. His works do not simply depict people in the city, but focus on capturing the various emotions and narratives they have through the movements and expressions of each character.

Shin Heung-woo’s work creates an atmosphere similar to a festival. The characters in the picture are freely arranged as if they are dancing, and they create colorful stories by looking in different directions or interacting with each other. Through these expressive techniques, he visually embodies the process in which individual entities come together to form an organic flow. This reflects the relationships between people who constantly encounter and disperse in the city, and reveals the artist’s perspective on expressing the coexistence of anonymity and community consciousness experienced in modern society.
