보이는 일상, 보이지 않는 순간

라우갤러리는 2025년 8월 12(화)일부터 9월 21(일)일까지 배윤정, 오정향 작가의 초대개인전《보이는 일상, 보이지 않는 순간》를 기획 전시한다.


이번 전시는 일상의 풍경과 이야기에서 출발한 작품을 다루고 있다. 두 작가는 일상에서 마주하는 풍경과 인물들에 집중하는데 소소하지만 특별한 우리의 이야기를 미디어아트 영상과 증강현실(AR) 작품으로 보여준다. 익숙한 일상의 풍경 위에 증강현실(AR)이 중첩되면서 이미지 속 숨겨진 이야기를 보여준다. 현실과 가상을 허무는 전시를 통해 우리가 살아가는 오늘의 일상을 돌아보고 작가의 상상을 만난다.


일상의 기억, 삶의 파편을 찾는 여정.

오정향 작가는 삶의 공간과 기억을 기록하고 재생하는 것에 집중해 왔다. 기억 재생을 테마로 일상의 공간인 골목과 동네의 기억을 재생하고 소환하는 작업을 해왔다. 이번 전시에는 대구 2020년 코로나 시절의 기억, 2023년 재개발로 사라진 대구 복현 1동 피란민촌의 이야기를 기반으로 제작된 작품 등을 전시한다. 미디어아트 영상뿐 아니라 증강현실(AR) 기술을 적용한 작품을 통해 우리가 눈으로 보는 현재 아니라 더 이상 눈으로는 볼 수 없지만 기억 속에서 살아있는 삶의 이야기를 전한다. 삶의 기록과 작가의 경험, 상상이 함께 만드는 익숙하지만 특별한 풍경을 통해 작품을 보는 이들이 자신만의 기억을 소환하길 기대한다.

 

일상의 풍경, 내면의 자아를 마주하는 시간.

배윤정 작가는 영상과 증강현실(AR)을 매체로 삼아, 개인의 일상 속에서 발생하는 작은 사건들을 바탕으로 자아를 탐색하고 재구성하는 과정을 담고 있다. 배윤정은 사회적 관계 속에서 요구되는 이상적인 인간상, 가까운 가족 구성원인 조카들의 성장 과정에서 느끼는 감정과 사유, 그리고 자화상을 통한 자아 정체성의 다층적인 탐구를 통해, '내 안의 또 다른 나'를 발견하고자 한다. 이 전시는 보는 이로 하여금 개인과 사회, 현실과 환상, 나와 타인의 경계에 대해 질문을 던지며, 자신에게 내재한 다양한 자아의 가능성을 마주하게 한다.


이번 전시는 단순히 미술 작품을 감상하는 자리가 아니라, 우리가 살아온 기억과 오늘의 일상, 내면의 자아를 성찰하게 하는 시간이 될 것이다. 도시의 풍경과 기억, 감정과 자아를 탐구하는 배윤정·오정향 작가의 작품 세계를 직접 경험할 수 있는 이번 전시에 많은 관심과 기대를 부탁드린다. 

 



Row Gallery will host Visible Daily Life, Invisible Moments, a special invitational solo exhibition, from Tuesday, August 12 to Sunday, September 21, 2025.


This exhibition explores works rooted in scenes and narratives of everyday life. The two participating artists focus on the people and landscapes encountered in daily life, presenting intimate yet extraordinary stories through media art and augmented reality (AR) works. By layering AR elements over familiar scenes, the exhibition unveils hidden stories within images, dissolving the boundaries between reality and the virtual. Visitors are invited to reflect on the life we live today and encounter the artists’ imaginative interpretations.


A journey to rediscover memories of daily life and fragments of existence.

Artist Oh Jeonghyang has long focused on documenting and reconstructing spaces of life and memory. Her work centers on reactivating memories of neighborhoods and alleyways that hold traces of everyday life. This exhibition features works inspired by her memories of Daegu during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, as well as stories from the refugee village in Bokhyeon 1-dong, Daegu, which disappeared due to redevelopment in 2023. Through both media art and AR-based works, she captures not only the present we see with our eyes but also the life stories that remain vivid in memory yet are no longer visible. Her pieces invite viewers to awaken their own memories through familiar yet extraordinary scenes, shaped by her experiences and imagination.


Moments of confronting inner selves through everyday life.

Artist Bae Yoonjung uses video and AR to explore and reconstruct the self through small, personal events that occur in daily life. Her work reflects on idealized images of individuals shaped by social relationships, her emotions and thoughts inspired by her young nieces’ growth, and a layered exploration of self-identity through self-portraits. The exhibition prompts viewers to question boundaries between self and others, reality and imagination, and the individual and society—ultimately inviting them to confront the many selves within.


This exhibition is not merely an occasion to view artworks but a reflective journey into memories, daily life, and the self. We invite you to experience the worlds of Oh Jeonghyang and Bae Yoonjung, who delve deeply into landscapes, memory, emotions, and identity, and to join us in this exploration at Row Gallery.
