라우갤러리는 2026년 1월 03(토)일부터 1월 31(토)일까지 정선진 작가의 초대개인전《미래에 대한 희망과 사랑》를 기획 전시한다.

이번 전시는 한지라는 전통적 매체의 물성을 바탕으로, 내면의 수행과 반복적 행위를 통해 삶의 본질적인 가치를 탐구해 온 정선진 작가의 작업 세계를 조망한다. 작가는 캔버스 위에 수많은 한지 조각을 덧입히고 채색하는 과정을 통해, 눈에 보이지 않는 시간의 흐름과 그 안에 내재된 희망의 메시지를 시각적 층위로 쌓아 올린다.

전시장에 펼쳐진 작품들은 각각 독립된 색채의 에너지를 지니는 동시에, 일정한 규칙으로 배열된 패턴을 통해 조화로운 질서를 만들어낸다. 겹겹이 쌓인 한지의 질감과 그 사이로 배어 나오는 은은한 빛깔은 관람객으로 하여금 정적인 평온함을 느끼게 하며, 반복되는 일상 속에서 잊고 지냈던 긍정의 기운을 환기하도록 이끈다.

This exhibition explores the artistic world of Jeong Seon-jin, who explores the essential values of life through inner practice and repetitive actions, drawing on the material properties of the traditional medium of hanji (Korean paper). By layering and coloring countless pieces of hanji on canvas, the artist visualizes the invisible flow of time and the message of hope inherent within it.

The works displayed in the exhibition each possess the energy of independent colors, while their regular, patterned arrangements create a harmonious order. The texture of the layered hanji and the subtle hues emanating from them evoke a sense of tranquility and evoke a sense of positivity often forgotten in the repetitiveness of everyday life.

Artist Jeong Seon-jin uses the creative process, which borders on asceticism, not as mere labor, but as a time of meditation, embracing life and practicing love. In this exhibition, the flat surfaces touched by the artist's hands function not as cold canvases but as warm landscapes of the heart, offering the viewer a warm "moment of comfort" rather than a mere "viewing."
